Apparently the "conflict" was
not disclosed by Kissinger until he was was asked to submit the
names of his clients in writing to Department of State officials

to identify the names and sources of his income. Then came notice
he had suddenly resignation rather thn to disclose their identities.
Dr. Kissinger had been named in an investigation
as being involved in creating the coup that toppled Chilean President

have resulted in summonses by five nations seeking to depose him.
The resignation is a major disappointment
to President Bush. Making matteres worse, Wednesday, former Senate
