Kissinger's Conflict
Lucrative GlobalNet Inc. Contract
SEC Filings Examined

   WASHINGTON -- Henry Kissinger, a Nobel Laureate and the most famous diplomat of his generation is also an international business and foreign policy consultant to President George W. Bush, and some undisclosed foreign interests, has abruptly resigned his 911 Commission chair set up to investigate intelligence and security failures related to the September 11 terrorist attacks.
    Dr. Kissinger cited "conflicts of interest" when asked to disclose the names of his clients, which include many foreign governments.
     Apparently the "conflict" was not disclosed by Kissinger until he was was asked to submit the names of his clients in writing to Department of State officials last week.
     Some of Kissinger's most ardent supporters were stunned by his refusal to identify the names and sources of his income. Then came notice he had suddenly resignation rather thn to disclose their identities.
    Dr. Kissinger had been named in an investigation as being involved in creating the coup that toppled Chilean President Allende.
     The effectsd of that action was blamed for undermining then President Lyndon Johnson's Vietnam peace talks prolonging the war by seven years. It was alledged that Johnson engineered the secret bombing of Cambodia, and approved Indonesian president Suharto's use of U.S. arms to massacre 100,000 East Timorese have resulted in summonses by five nations seeking to depose him.
     The resignation is a major disappointment to President Bush. Making matteres worse, Wednesday, former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell, the 911 commission's vice chairman, resigned, also citing his refusal to identify the sources of his income and names of his clients.
    This newspaper broke the news last year that GlobalNet  had retains the Kissinger-McLarty Strategic Consulting firm to help execute its further expansion into Latin America.

     Kissinger McLarty Associates  make strategic advisory and advocacy services to a select group of U.S. and multinational companies.      The Chairman and Vice Chairman of Kissinger McLarty Associates  are Henry Kissinger, and Thomas F. "Mack'' McLarty, who has worked with Presidents Carter, Bush, and Clinton, including service as President Clinton's Chief of Staff and Special Envoy for the Americas.
   In checking with the Security and Exchange Commission it appears D.C.-based Kissinger McLarty Associates is an affiliate of Kissinger Associates, Inc., headquartered in New York City. It appears to be the only client ofGlobalNet, Inc., based in Chicago. And GlobalNet Inc. is a high-tech voice, fax and other value-added service provider to individuals and small businesses in Latin America.
     GlobalNet Inc. products and services are based and delivered over its actively managed internet-protocol network. According to documents on file with the SEC, GlobalNet Inc.  has suddenly expanded its competitively priced products in Latin American markets.
     Apparently, the Securities and Exchange Commission and NASD have not, as of the date of this publication, been provided with the opportunity to review the GlobalNet Inc.  stock offering, and do not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of GlobalNet Inc. news release, however.
